Cheats Seafood Fettuccini

I absolutely love this recipe. It tastes luxurious and expensive but uses just 6 ingredients and costs under £10 to make for 4. I have another recipe for a more complex seafood spaghetti but this one can be put together in minutes rather than the hours that it takes to make your own bisque.

1 tbsp olive oil

1 onion, diced

1 fennel bulb, trimmed and diced

200g raw prawns

1 x 400g tin of lobster bisque (I used Baxters)

250g fettuccini

Cheats seafood fettuccini - ingredients

In a wide deep pan or frying pan warm the olive oil, add the onion and fennel and sauté for around 7-8 minutes until soft.

Meanwhile bring a large pan of salted water to the boil and cook the fettuccini to the pack instructions, drain in a colander.

Turn the heat up under the onions and fennel and add the prawns, cook for 5 minutes until pink, add the lobster bisque giving everything a good stir. When hot, tip in the pasta and make sure everything is coated. Serve in warm bowls.
