Lemongrass

Definition:

Grown in tuft-like clusters, with long bladed leaves which contain a pale central stalk, the lower white part of which is either pounded, bruised, or finely chopped in Southeast Asian cuisine. The leaves are dried and used to make tisanes. Available from Asian food stores and supermarkets.
