Created this recipe to form part of a "stack" dish I made for the family one night. They loved it! Try making the stack recipe or have it with noodles or rice.

Ingredients
500gminced beef
3banana shallotsthinly sliced
4clovesgarlicminced
1tbspgrated ginger
2bird eye chillisliced
2tbsplight soy sauce
2tbspdark soy sauce
2tbspoyster sauce
1tbspfish sauce
1.5tbspsugar
3tbspwater
1small bunchbasilleaves torn
4spring onions sliced
Sauce (optional)
4tbsplight soy sauce
5tbspkecap manis (sweet soy sauce)
1tbspgrated ginger
1tspsesame oil
Instructions
Add a splash of vegetable oil to large frying pan or wok. Add the beef and brown all over. Remove with a slotted spoon to a bowl.
Lower the heat, add another splash of oil if the pan is dry, add the shallots of sauté for 5 minutes until soft. Add garlic, ginger and chilli and cook for a few more minutes. Return the beef to the pan along with any resting juices.
Add the light and dark soy sauce, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sugar and water. Give everything a good stir. leave to bubble on a medium heat, stirring regularly for 5-10 minutes.
While the meat is cooking, put all the sauce ingredients in a small pan, bring to a simmer then set aside to serve with the beef.
Once the beef is cooked, stir in the basil leaves and spring onions. Serve the sauce on the side with rice or noodles
