Tuck in! Guide lists top rated restaurants in Bucks & Oxon

The one Oxon restaurant that managed to achieve the highest rating – of five rosettes (given to 17 restaurants across the country) – is Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons. The accolade means the inspectors felt the cooking was up there with the world’s best restaurants… Raymond will be pleased!

Two got four rosettes, which means the cooking demands national recognition – those were The Hand & Flowers in Marlow (still the only pub in the UK with 2 Michelin stars) and Orwells in Shiplake.

Seven Bucks and Oxon eateries got three rosettes, among them some of our Muddy faves – Humphry’s at Stoke Park, Oxford’s Two One Five, The Artichoke in Amersham, The Coach in Marlow, The Wild Rabbit in Kingham, Shaun Dickens at the Boathouse in Henley, and Minster Mill in Witney.

The guide lists 1,800 restaurants by county and has been running since 1956. It featured a haul of other Bucks and Oxon eats – here’s the full list of the one and two rosette rated:
