Bloomin’ Chic, Oxford: 18 & 25 Nov & 2 Dec & virtual workshops
Stylish East Oxford florists Bloomin’ Chic is relaunching its in-person workshops as well as offering virtual workshops this year. The in-person sessions are at The Magdalen Arms pub on the Iffley Road and include a natural moss base to keep foliage fresh, plus a choice of dried fruit, cones and cinnamon and/or sparkly decorations. 7pm-9pm. £55pp.

If restrictions mean the event has to be cancelled, Foxgloves and Roses will deliver the wreath kits to your door with a Zoom session on how to DIY it at home – the show must go on! Hearts Interiors and Flowers, Bishopstone Village Hall: 15-18 Dec
Florist Debbie will guide you through the process of making a decorative wreath using spruce cuttings, an Oasis foam ring, wires, cones, berries, ribbon, orange slices and cinnamon sticks, which you can supplement with bits and bobs from your own garden if you bring them along. Starts 12.30pm for 2.5 hours. £32pp.
Quarrendon Adult Learning Centre, Aylesbury: 4 Dec
This is a real DIY option as you bring all of your own materials, as well as the wreath base, foliage, secateurs, wire cutters etc (although equipment is also available to buy on the day). So it’s perfect if you’ve done a course before and have your own kit plus plentiful garden (or hedgerows). Course runs 10am-1pm and you need to take your own packed lunch. £35pp.
Amersham Field Centre, Amersham: Dec
Keep an eye on the centre’s Facebook page for this year’s wreath making course.
